The Municipal Waste Association (MWA) is seeking nominations for the Board for 1 two-year position (2020 -2022) from its Municipal membership.
Aspiring board members may nominate themselves but should meet the following criteria:
1. Demonstrate expertise in the field of recycling, waste reduction, solid waste management or a related area, or expertise in a field relevant to the operation of the Municipal Waste Association (e.g. management, finance, law, government, public process).
2. Agree that, as a Board member s/he will conform to the policies, aims, and objectives laid out in the MWA constitution and bylaws and policy decisions of the organization.
3. Must meet the requirements of municipal membership and be a member in good standing.
4. Commit to attend & participate in a minimum of seventy-five percent (75%) of regular Board meetings.
The MWA Board meets approximately 12 times per year and most of these meetings are conducted via teleconference and we are looking forward to viewing your nomination. We invite you to download and submit the following form by end of day May 15, 2020.
