I speak my own opinion and not the one of the company I work for. 1. Plastic waste is in my view is a solid waste management issue, not a plastics issue, we humans use plastics for a reason, and decide what we do with, as well as their end of life. 2. Compostable (certified) plastics products were created for a reason, a "tool" to divert more organic waste from landfill, help reduce green house emissions, reduce GHG climate change impact, help to produce a still not well acknowledged and valued product, COMPOST. 3. We humans decide what priority we focus on, invest in infrastructure to properly manage certified compostable products end of life or not.
